Rowan Packer
Rowan leads a skilled team of sustainability consultants. Their aim is to serve and manage MAPP’s £15bn multi-use real estate portfolio in the UK. His team guides clients, owners and investors on their net-zero pathway from basic data and carbon management, through to building performance. Furthermore, he provides specialist advice to pioneering clients on long-term climate risk modelling and ESG investment criteria.
During his extensive 15+ year career in sustainability, ESG and energy management, Rowan has worked across a wide range of sectors, both in the UK and Europe. He has helped deliver and guide major corporations such as Sainsbury's, Landsec, CLS Holdings, CBRE and Pfizer on their new-zero journey.
One of Rowan’s favourite quotes strongly exemplifies his desired impact on the overall industry: ‘I am working hard to become unwanted!". Rowan's career goal in the climate change challenge is to make sustainability simple, mainstream and embedded into everything people do and therefore hopes to be unwanted as a specialist in the future. He believes in empowering people around him to integrate sustainability into all aspects of their jobs rather than it being a specialist area.
